HAEmatologY / ONCOLOGY PRACTICE Altona (HOPA)

The HOPA team, comprising 10 doctors, numerous medical assistants, nurses and other employees, pursues its goal of caring for patients in a sensitive and comprehensive way.

A part from cancer therapy this also includes the treatment of pain and other accompanying symptoms based on the latest medical knowledge.

As it is incorporated in a major medical centre close cooperation with other fields is assured. An important factor in diagnostics and therapy is prompt communication and close proximity especially with specialist departments – radiological diagnostics, radiation therapy and the hospital pharmacy. In case conferences conducted on a regular weekly basis individual therapeutic concepts are dealt with in cooperation.

The focus of medical care is the HOPA day hospital, where qualified nurses service patients from the affiliated practices.
